Now that you have built and restored your muscle car, monthly maintenance is necessary to ensure that your ride is in good shape all the time. With its massive engine either naturally aspirated or turbocharged, it definitely demands frequent checks on its lubrication, cooling system to name a few due to the fact that your ride is always pushed to its maximum on the roads.
Your car battery provides constant flow of electricity to power up the ignition and all the electrical system in your car. It stored charges and discharges them when required especially during cold starts. Without it, your alternator will be severely strained thus shortening its life span due to the fact that it is required to be operational at all times. Always ensure that sulfuric acid level is at recommended level at all times to prolong it life. Always remember that, battery water is very much cheaper compared to changing the entire battery.
Braking system is ultimately vital in ensuring that massive V8 is able to stop on time in a short interval. Besides having all round ventilated discs brakes, brake pad is also a necessity to provide sufficient braking power. Frequently check for pad thinning to avoid untoward accident. Check also brake fluid located at the engine firewall to ensure it is at optimum level.
Engine oil functions to provide lubrication to your engine internal to maintain smooth operation. Without it, tear and wear at moving metal parts would kill the engine at no time. Make it a point to check your dip sticks at weekly interval to extend engine life. It is recommended to use fully synthetic oil for maximum protection especially in engine which is frequently high revved. It is highly recommended to let the engine idle during cold start for the engine to reach its optimum working temperature to prolong its lifespan.
